Les Créatifs Restaurant is the first of its kind in South Africa where fine dining meet world-class wine list, cocktails, visual art, outstanding décor, interior design and ceramic art in an exclusive dining space.
A 40-seater intimate dining space with an open view kitchen showcasing exquisite live cooking. The dining space is a collaboration between Chef owner Wandile Mabaso and world-class interior designer Donald Nxumalo.
Every element of the restaurant space was curated to bring out the best in food creativity. Les Créatifs uses its own special ceramic plates designed and handmade in collaboration with world-class ceramic artist, Andile Ndyalvane.
The food at Les Créatifs is daring, French inspired with fusion of the Chefs background of Korean, Italian, Japanese and Mexican cooking styles curated and inspired by South African diverse ingredients and cultures. It evokes emotion and inspire the discerning palate.
Les Créatifs offers a pre-fixed 4 course menu and a 6 course tasting menu with wine or cocktail pairing.
Chef Wandile Mabaso changes the menu every week according to product availability, what’s in the market and his inspiration and creativity at that particular time.

Chef Wandile Mabaso is a creative food artist full of global experiences. He has vast international experience and has worked with internationally renowned Chefs in Michelin star restaurants in New York and Paris.
Classically trained in French cuisine, he currently specializes in contemporary French haute cuisine, where only the finest luxury ingredients are used and treated with extreme perfection in the most bespoke settings.
Today, Chef Wandile Mabaso is the owner of Les Créatifs Restaurant, which is shaking up the Johannesburg food scene with its unique offering: an experiential form of dining that takes guests on an exciting gastronomic journey.
Chef Lentikile Charles Montshiwa, known as Chef Charles, is the Executive Sous Chef and Co owner at Les Créatifs. He collaborates with world renowned Chef Wandile Mabaso.
Charles has travelled extensively and has broadened his culinary prowess, being exposed to different cultures and cooking methods. He also worked on the Royal Caribbean cruise liners, and on returning to South Africa he then worked in a few renowned hotels.
His passion for food, music and art have led him to be the driving force at Les Créatifs, where he creates memorable and enlightening culinary experiences. He encourages those who have love for food and new experiences to join them at Les Créatifs Restaurant for an amazing experience

Hervé Delebesse goes by the nickname “The Frenchwine Guy” – maybe due to his unpronounceable name, but more due to a personal story behind it.
Following a long career in corporate and wine industry experience, he is WSET Level 3 certified with honors and a constant student in wine.
Hervé collaborates with Chef Wandile and the team to create and amazing wine pairing that aims to take your culinary experience to heights.
Khuselo Mputa, born in Stellenbosch, has been a Sommelier since 2002. He started his career under the guidance of Chef Albert Roux and Fred Sirieix at the Sofitel St James in London. He returned to South Africa and headed some of the country’s best lists at Aubergine and Beltharzar. He has also been a judge for the John Platter Guide, Old Mutual Trophy Show and Diners Club Winemaker of the Year, as well as a member of the first Team South Africa to enter the World Blind Tasting Championships.
